Founded by the Carneiro family, Novo Brazil Brewing is a vibrant, award-winning brewery based in Chula Vista, Southern California. Inspired by the lively spirit of Brazil, we’re known for our unique beer lifestyle and carefully crafted flavors. Our brewpubs and taprooms with colorful accents, great vibe, huge screens, extensive menu, and family-friendly atmosphere, are a big hit. Most importantly, we take pride in our deep involvement with the South Bay and San Diego communities.
Thanks to our commitment to the community, we’ve expanded to five amazing locations. We started with a spacious brewpub in Otay Ranch, featuring a 12,000 square-foot space with a bar, restaurant, and brewery. In 2020, we opened the NOVA Taproom in Ocean Beach, followed by a stunning space facing the San Diego South Bay in 2022. Most recently, in 2024, we launched a massive restaurant in Mission Valley, complete with high-tech LED screens and sound system.
The community involvement has also grown. In 2022, we became the official jersey sponsor for the ALBION San Diego soccer team. We also started a multi-year partnership with the San Diego Wave FC in 2023, releasing a collaborative kombucha with the team, the La OLA dragon fruit, which also serves as the Official Hard Kombucha of Snapdragon Stadium. In 2023, we began a collaboration with the MESA Foundation, where part of the sales from our NOVA Raspberry Azteks Kombucha is donated to support SDSU student-athletes. Last but not least, we’ve teamed up with the San Diego Padres, releasing a collaborative kombucha, the Sunset Slam Mango Lime.
Novo is dedicated to giving back, supporting organizations like Rady Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald Foundation.
Our accolades speak volumes, including a U.S. bronze medal for our Corvo Negro Russian Imperial Stout in the 2016 World Beer Cup, and U.S. honors for Best IPA and Best Lager in 2016. Our kombuchas have also won many awards, including the SF Spirits Awards.
