Our Programs.Point Loma is a four year comprehensive high school serving grades 9-12 with a wide range of courses, including fine academic programs, extensive elective offerings, and excellent extracurricular opportunities. Our ethnically diverse student population, of approximately 2000 students reside primarily from the Point Loma community. Point Loma has received a six-year accreditation in May 2015, by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).Our Students.Approximately 35 percent come from a variety of neighborhoods to participate in specialized programs, such as, the Voluntary Ethnic Enrollment Program (VEEP), the Choice Program, the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) program or the Seminar Program.Our Faculty.We have over 100 fully credentialed faculty. Approximately 58 percent of our teachers have completed the equivalent of a master's degree or higher. We also have over 35 classified employees.
