Silver Gate represents all the best of tradition, innovation, and community in a school. Educating generations of students, our school has stood at the edge of the Pacific Ocean in the Point Loma neighborhood since 1951. It was named for its position as the Silver Gate to the Pacific.

What makes our school special is the incredible educational support from our staff and community. We are committed to creating a warm environment for every child to thrive.

We are extremely proud to announce that Silver Gate Elementary School is a 2020 recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools award. This is an amazing recognition of all the hard work our staff and students have put forth. This isn't an overnight or even one year process to recognition. It is years of hard work and dedication by our staff, students, and parent community. Without all of us working together, we would not have had this honor.
